Owner-Claimed Listing

A directory entry the site's actual owner has verified control over, allowing them to edit details and respond to reviews.

Definition

Claiming a listing usually requires proving ownership (email match, meta tag, or file upload) so the directory knows edits are coming from the real operator, not a random submitter.

Why it matters to marketers

Unclaimed listings can go stale — wrong URLs, outdated features, no way to correct mistakes. If you run a traffic exchange or safelist, claiming your TrafficOS listing keeps your details accurate and lets you use the platform's owner tools instead of leaving the entry to drift out of date.
