Autoresponder

A service that automatically sends a pre-written sequence of emails to new leads after they opt in, without manual sending.

Definition

An autoresponder stores your list and fires off scheduled or triggered emails — a welcome message, a follow-up sequence, a broadcast to everyone at once — based on rules you set up in advance.

Why it matters to marketers

A squeeze page without an autoresponder behind it just collects addresses with no follow-up. The autoresponder is what turns a one-time opt-in from traffic-exchange or safelist traffic into a relationship that can convert over weeks, not just the moment of the click.
