Snapshot
CloakLinks focuses on masking affiliate and promo URLs behind cleaner links. RotateURLs focuses on cycling one public link across many destinations. Both are IM tools — not traffic sources — and both are verified in the TrafficOS ledger.
When to choose a cloaker
Use CloakLinks (or any solid cloaker) when you have one primary destination that looks ugly or breaks trust when pasted raw into ads and mail. Cloaking keeps tracking while presenting a cleaner URL.
When to choose a rotator
Use RotateURLs when you want one public link to feed multiple offers, run weighted tests, or keep a backup live if an affiliate program fails. You change destinations centrally instead of editing every creative.
Using them together
A common stack is: public rotator link → cloaked affiliate destinations. That gives you one ad URL, clean redirects, and flexible offer testing. Always respect traffic-site rules about redirects.
- Document every mapping
- Retest links after offer changes
- Keep a backup tool for critical campaigns
Verdict
Not competitors so much as complementary tools. Start with the pain you have today: messy URLs → cloaker; many offers / backups → rotator; both pains → use both.
